About Agricultural Development Fund:

The Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) will act as a second-tier wholesale lending institution that will lend to intermediaries in the agricultural value chain, who will then on-lend to small commercial farmers, defined as farmers with 1-30 hectares. ADF is capitalized by a $100 million grant provided by the United States Government to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to increase lending to the agriculture sector to create a more competitive agriculture sector through expanded agricultural production and increased incomes for agricultural households. ADF will lend directly and indirectly to banks, non-bank financial institutions, credit unions, microfinance institutions and non-financial intermediaries such as private farmer associations, farm stores, agricultural depots, food processors, agribusinesses and other market participants and informal providers of finance that support the development of agricultural value chains in Afghanistan and can enhance the supply of agricultural Islamic financing  to  end-Agribusiness  at the farm level.

Job Descriptions:

  • Provide food according the menu for Expats, Local and Guests.
  • Make different foods for expats as their requirements.
  • Cook food for party held in the compound.
  • Provide tea and coffee if required.
  • Maintain good working order of kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain high level of hygiene in kitchen facilities.
  • Plan menus for meals as according to western or local standard.
  • Keep the dining room clean, organize and presentable at all the time.
  • All the kitchen appliances should be disinfect and proper organized.
  • Manage the stocks in the house (provisions, enough food items and drinks).
  • Prevent the waste of food during preparation, stocking and ordering.
  • Prepare lunch per day from establish menu for about 50 peoples.
  • Serve the food according to high level of hygiene and safety standard.
  • Familiar with dishes combination while serving the foods.
  • Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met; before service.
  • Check the quantity and quality of food before prepare to serve for the exact number of the guest to prevent the not enough foods.
  • Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis whenever have the order.
  • Observe the personal hygiene while dealing with food products.
  • Take well care and responsibility of the kitchen from any suspicious
  • Perform any other task given by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

At least 3-5 years’ experience as a cook/chef in a similar type setting.

Preferably to have fare local languages communication skills.
