Afghan Bureau Collaboration Office (ABCO) is a national Afghan NGO established in 1993. ABCO is operating in all regions of Afghanistan with a mission of national Food Security and Livelihood Resilience Building. For the last 27 years ABCO has been committed to its mission and has performed plenty of programs and projects with UN and international organizations. ABCO has a commitment of transparency and accountability with its partners and clients. Following a commitment of self-improvement, integrity and long-term engagement and support with its personnel and project staff.
The incumbent of this position represents Afghan Bureau Collaboration Office values and principles in interactions with staff and external audiences. These values and principles include commitment to the mission of ABCO, team orientation, quality management and leadership development, introducing systems and procedures to strengthen staff motivation and productivity. The post holder will be responsible for field-based project operation and in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of an anticipated. He/she will be responsible of ensuring that lessons derived through implementation will be well articulated and documented.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Has regular contact with Project Manager, Project Officers, Finance, and Logistics staff.
- Represents Human Appeal to community leaders, representatives of local government and beneficiary representatives in relation to programme planning and implementation.
1. PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION
1. Manage and supervise all the activities of MCCT Project in Badghis province and targeted Districts.
2. Develop work plans, and carry out planning, management and implementation of The Project in close coordination with the Project Manager.
3. Collect relevant data necessary for the project implementation, including case studies, needs assessments, Ministry reports, etc to ensure that outputs are as indicated in the project document.
4. Coordinate with different stakeholders to shortlist and select the project beneficiaries highlighting clear selection criteria.
5. Plan and organize meetings, workshops and focus group discussions with the relevant stakeholders to help socializing and to design the implementation mechanism of the project.
6. Carry out any other activity that may be required by the Line manager or the senior management in the Country Office to ensure the timely and successful achievement of the project.
2. PROGRAMME MONITORING AND EVALUATION
1. Ensure that the project activities are implemented, reviewed and evaluated in a consultative and participative manner through regular field visits.
2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities under implementation.
3. Support the team to ensure the effectiveness, impact, and direction of the project is appropriately implemented, monitored, reviewed and evaluated on a continuous basis using the quality guidance of the ABCO Policy and Procedures Manual.
3. MANAGEMENT
1. Actively participate in project management meetings.
2. Facilitate team building across targeted locations and Field Office.
3. Motivate the project team and ensure they have clear objectives and receive meaningful feedback on their performance.
4. NETWORKING AND COMMUNICATION
1. Build relationships with Local authorities, regional departments, local associations and various stakeholders in Badghis Province.
2. Ensure regular and effective communications are maintained within the field team and with the Main office.
6. REPORTING
1. Prepare Field Visit reports and evaluation reports of all project sites and ensure a constant communication system is being set in place with the country office to update all project progress.
2. Prepare, in a timely manner, monthly, quarterly and completion reports on the project’s progress, in accordance with the ABCO and UNICEF requirements on reporting, and submit them to the Project Manager.
