The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) is a member-based solidarity organization that has been working in support and solidarity with the Afghan people for more than 35 years. The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Major Duties and Responsibilities
Technical
To lead and coordinate the Disability Project data collection process and maintain the central database.
Work with Project key staff to develop (participatory) tools and formats for their projects to measure indicators and obtain needed information on other monitoring/performance questions.
Support projects to develop sound data collection tools, including baseline surveys/ Disability Survey, Tracer study etc… that provide accurate and timely information on project indicators and other information needs.
Assist Project Managers to build in mechanisms for regular critical reflection on their project outcomes (including unintended effects), and for developing lessons learned.
Work with M&E to strengthen the central MIS that can receive process and retrieve data obtained from the field and support the development of more streamlined project-based information management systems and formats.
To compile and edit the monthly reports received from the units.
To be the Disability project focal person in reporting to DMD
To develop and maintain Disability Project Management Unit filing system and keep track on Disability project official contracts, MoUs, memos and letters.
To be responsible for minutes taking minutes of meetings, workshops and its follow up.
Training
Improve capacity of project field staff in quantitative and qualitative data collection through training and informal coaching and feedback.
Inter organizational relation
Promote gender equality, non-discrimination regarding ethnic, political and religious background
To participate actively in workshops, seminars & conference organized by the NAC management
Promotes good coordination with other NAC projects, all RMOs units and other units/department at KCO especially Disability PMU regarding project planning, and other related issues
Language requirements, if any
Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent, in related professional field (Business communication, data analysis, monitoring & Evaluation).
Work Experience
3-4 years’ relevant experience, especially within an NGO or similar organizations.
Experience in management of databases and data analysis is a must.
Experience of planning, reporting
Skills
Computer skill at operator level, especially with MS Office packages.
