About Hospital:

AFGA is in the process of establishment of a 20-bed hospital in Kabul, aimed at providing quality Reproductive Health services to mothers and newborns. The hospital will be fully equipped with modern medical equipment, facilities and staffed by experts.

As part of a long-term development plan, hospital services will continuously expand, serving as the central hub for AFGA outreach and small Service Delivery Points (SDPs) to refer patients needing advanced care. The hospital will adhere to national and international standards for patient safety and quality service, ensuring it meets the needs of target communities.

Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

Responsibilities of CRHC paediatricians/neonatologist are delivering high-quality care to pediatric and neonatal patients, including comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and management of admitted patients. The role requires performing in-depth assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and leading critical care interventions in line with hospital protocols. The pediatrician will also be involved in the training of new staff and actively participate in infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives. This role demands a commitment to patient-centered care, timely communication with healthcare teams, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies during on-call shifts.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. History taking and completion of related documentations for admitted patients.
  2. Perform complete physical examination of patients as per their need.
  3. Advice, completion and accurate interpretation of laboratory and radiology exams according to patient’ needs and relevant guidelines and forms.
  4. Conduct regular patient visit as needed and instructed hospital manager
  5. Make accurate diagnosis of patient’s illnesses in consideration to history, physical exam and laboratory exam findings.
  6. Advice and manage treatment of admitted patients as per diagnosis and patient’s needs.
  7. Ensure that the procedures are applied for patients.
  8. Counseling, managing and follow up of critically ill patients according to patient health status.
  9. Assist in data collection according to data collection method and tools.
  10. Participate actively in the training of new employees and trainees.
  11. Follow up of specific standards, protocols, procedures, rules in regulations during daily works.
  12. Built his self-own capacity and participate in training session assigned for.
  13. Participate in preparation of action plan for implementation of standards and participate in quarterly review session of the hospital standards.
  14. Provide preventive and primitive counseling in hospital to the patients and clients
  15. Attend Night shift duty when assigned.
  16. Participate actively in the infection prevention of CRHC.
  17.  Perform other related tasks assigned by supervisor.
  18. Reporting to In-charge.

Job Requirements:

  1. MD Degree must be attested by MoHE.
  2.  Specialization degree in paediatricians/neonatologist attested by MoPH or MoHE
  3. 2-5 years’ experience as paediatrician/neonatologist in well know hospital
  4. Strong communication skill.
  5. Good interaction and pleasant behavior with patients, clients and colleagues.
  6. Very good knowledge of Pashto, Dari and English Language (written and spoken).
  7. Basic computer (Ms. Office) skills.
