Organization for Community Coordination and Development (OCCD) established and registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2013, is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and independent organization. OCCD works in partnership with Government, development and implementing partners in Health, Education, Agriculture and Livestock, Research and Development

Job Descriptions:

  • Site Management: Oversee the day-to-day activities of construction sites, ensuring work is being completed according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Construction Monitoring: Monitor the progress of the construction projects, ensuring adherence to the project timeline, scope, and budget.
  • Field Surveys and Inspections: Conduct regular field surveys and inspections to ensure construction is in line with the design and regulations.
  • Coordination with Contractors: Coordinate with contractors, construction teams, and local authorities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the implementation of quality control procedures on-site and that all work is performed in compliance with OCCD’s standards.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to site workers and contractors to address any issues or challenges that arise during construction.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports, including work completed, challenges faced, and any recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment on-site.
  • Material Management: Ensure that construction materials are properly managed, stored, and utilized effectively, minimizing waste.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain and update all project documentation, including daily site reports, progress reports, and incident logs.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in Pashto, Dari, and preferably English
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AutoCAD
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in construction and site management
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel to field locations as needed
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and materials

Note: - There is a three months of probationary period for all staff, In case the employee fails to fulfill the requirements or completion of given tasks during this period OCCD can end his/her contract immediately
