Job Description
Job Descriptions:
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To coordinate Health and nutrition activities implementation (RMNCH, EPI, CBNP & IMAM) in target areas
- To asses and evaluate that health and nutrition activities are implemented in accordance to plan and national standards in coordination with provincial and national partners.
- To provide capacity building to RMNCH and Nutrition midwives in preparing monthly Health and nutrition reports and respecting submission deadlines.
- To provide regular technical support to HFs staff and train them in the implementation of project activities
- To develop action plans to ensure an effective monitoring of health and nutrition status in targeted health facilities.
- To apply national nutrition treatment guidelines and policies at the health facility level.
- To ensure the existence of growth monitoring tools, IMAM (Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition) supervision, and sufficient drug supply for HFs.
- To ensure malnutrition preventive activities are based on the BPHS and MoPH guidelines.
- To conduct/support nutrition screening and monitoring of under-5 children and PLW (Pregnant and Lactating Women) at community level.
- To make sure food processing skills and knowledge are disseminated to target beneficiaries, through awareness sessions and cooking demonstrations.
- To ensure the existence of IEC (Information Education Communication) material for awareness sessions at HF and community level.
- To ensure basic RMNCH, EPI, and nutrition services at the HFs level and Community mobilization
- To ensure all complicated cases are referred to higher-level health facilities as per the referral system with a great follow-up to strengthen the referral system.
- To ensure effective communication and coordination with DoPH, and other stakeholders
- To ensure that the program is implemented smoothly, the field-level nutrition programs are monitored and evaluated against the MoU between Concern and UNICEF.
- Provide daily oversight and supervision of all activities at the HFs locations using monitoring check lists.
- To perform any other task assigned by the line manager.
- To support M&E team during field assessments as and when necessary.
Job Requirements
- Graduate from recognized medical faculty (Public Health) with a certified diploma
- Medical Doctor
- Supervision or Team Leader Experience in the field level of Nutrition project implementation
- Working with a national or international organization
