Job Description

Job Summary:

The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization’s technology infrastructure and IT operations. This includes supervising the IT team, ensuring system security, optimizing software and hardware usage, and managing IT-related projects. The IT Manager will also play a key role in strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development for IT services.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the EMI’s IT strategic plan, short and long term annual action plans to support Cashlink business objectives and growth.
  • Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of IT systems and infrastructure to ensure they align with the EMI's goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing IT infrastructure in both primary and secondary site to ensure high availability, security, and performance of critical EMI’s systems.
  • Collaborating with other department and managers to identify technology needs and opportunities for innovation within the EMI.
  • Leading and managing a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support for their professional development.
  • Developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while meeting business needs.
  • Monitoring industry trends and best practices to recommend new technologies and processes that can improve the EMI IT services.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the smooth execution of projects.
  • Manage the organization’s data protection strategies, including disaster recovery and backup solutions.
  • Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, ensuring systems are safeguarded against cyber threats.
  • Develop and detailed project plans to monitor and track progress and to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within budget.
  • Oversee procurement and installation of new IT equipment, software, and tools.
  • Ensure the strategic direction of the EMI information for managing of the information technology.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Assess and manage IT risks, ensuring mitigations are in place for business continuity.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with relevant IT regulations, standards, and industry practices.
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Contribute towards the improvement in business processes to bring efficiency and productivity in the operations of the EMI through introduction of new processes and IT solutions.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of the IT resources by working closely with Human Resources and Management to enhance and improve the IT management structure, designing jobs and roles.
  • Effectively manage IT spending by planning and managing the annual IT budget by coordination with Management, in line with the laid down policies and available guidelines of the EMI.
  • Assist to ensure the IT systems and applications efficiency by direct monitoring of all HW & SW used in the EMI and oversees and troubleshooting system backups, archiving, disaster recovery and provides expert support depends upon requirement.
  • Writing technical proposals and required letters as per department need. and review monthly basis report from all IT sections.
  • Assisting all Cashlink IT sections for performing daily technical configuration and activities.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of project implementation and system integrations.
  • Ensure the provision of comprehensive technical support to all branches to maintain seamless operations.
  • Prepares written technical documentation, training material, standards, reports, and other documents assigned by Management.
  • enforce the EMI’s IT policies and procedures for good IT governance by ensuring that installations, systems configurations and user practices adhere to industry standards and best practices.
  • Perform any other IT related task or duties assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in IT management or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in network administration, server management, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, firewalls, and data encryption.
  • Strong knowledge of software applications, database management, and IT troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications (preferred):

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
