Job Descriptions:

Scope of Work

The office guard will maintain security and security procedures at the ODRH. He will strictly follow guard procedures and ensure registration of people, vehicles, equipment, etc., entering and leaving the office.

Job Location:

3rd District- Kabul

 

Reporting:

The Guard will report to Admin and HR

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Respect working hours.
  • Keep the security inside and outside the office.
  • Facilitate the function of the activities inside and outside the office making the ambience quiet.
  • Ensure the security of all staff and items inside and outside the Office.
  • Take care of any problems before occurrence at the office.
  • The guard has to report any incident to his direct supervisor or in charge 24/7.
  • Take care of all visitors and guests inside the office with security policy (Registration, Visitor ID card, searching, etc.).
  • Arrange the visitors.
  • Patrolling of the compound during the day and night 24/7.
  • Take care of the main gate, especially during the staff movement’s time.
  • Good communication with all staff/visitors.
  • Phone check with all staff when they are traveling from one province to another province
  • No loud or rude noise inside the compound
  • Do not invite friends/ relatives to the office, especially out of office hours.
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations and work with limited resources.

  • At least has basic education (ability to read and write in local languages)
  • Minimum one- year’s experience work as a security guard with National or International INGOs or (similar agency).
  • Be an honest person
  • Be able to solve small local problems
  • Maintain good relations with the staff.

Confidentiality

  • He/she ensures that all intellectual properties of ODRH and all other information related to the project or organization are confidential and not shared or spread to non-relevant staff or outsiders. 
  • He/she should not share any ODRH Official format in soft or hard with outsiders (Non-Organization Staff).

 

Security:

  • The staff makes sure that all security policies and procedures set by the organization are considered well and followed during the times he/she is working. S/he is responsible for his/her security during official times either at the campus or on mission if policies are not followed.
  • Safety
  • He/she is responsible for the safety of all ODRHs and project assets delivered to her/him. S/he must ensure that all safety measurements are taken for any assets for which she/he is responsible and consider ODRH’s asset safety policy. 

General:

  • Act according to the policy and regulations of ODRH
  • Keep updated with issues related to ODRH and the environment where ODRH     operates.
  • Do related jobs as delegated by the project coordinator or Project Manager

 

INTERDICTION:

To speak on behalf of ODRH without permission from the line manager,

To use ODRH property for his/her own benefit,

Being in a condition of intoxication (drug, alcohol...) or transporting drugs or alcohol while on duty,

All other interdictions are stipulated in the HR Policy and Procedure Manual along with the disciplinary measures.

                             ODRH has a strong stand on the protection of beneficiaries.
