Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

The IT Intern will receive necessary training to be prepared for the tasks and with guidance from the supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Train the intern in software/hardware installation includes operating system installation in computers, photocopy machines, printers, multimedia projectors, Microsoft outlook configurations, antivirus installations.
  • The intern will receive the training how network management and monitoring tools to prepare problem-analysis reports, resources utilization data, detect potential intrusions, suggest measures for network efficiency maximization and provide recommendations and reports for review and analysis.
  • Learn how to monitor field offices computers and network, upgrade antivirus and Malwarebytes.
  • Learn how to Implement the network bandwidth management in the field office routers.
  • The intern will receive guidance on systems and networks (LAN, WAN) and how to perform daily control of servers and data integrity tasks.
  • Learn how to run various services such as domain controllers, active directory, files server and group policy as well as establish active directory accounts and apply file share permissions.
  • Learn how to Maintain internet connectivity bandwidth.
  • The intern to be train how to Install licensed software application, antivirus perform windows update under the supervision Team Leader of ICT Section.
  • Learn how to Execute and plan for taking data backup by procedures; maintain back up logbook.
  • The intern will receive the training how to track the ICT equipment and handle all handover of IT equipment assigned to the staff.

As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

  • It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons. 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

14th grade Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering.

Experience:

  • No professional experience required, however candidates with a maximum of 6 months’ experience may also be considered.
  • Very good knowledge on Computer operation specially in MS office, MS Excel, and internet browsing.

Competency:

  • Have good IQ and basic understanding on development and humanitarian work.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (oral & written) in English.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from requisitioners, or any other related sections.
  • Drive to achieve results.
  • Attention to details.
