Background

Self-help groups help communities grow by encouraging savings, lending, skill development, and teamwork. This training program aims to strengthen these groups by teaching them important skills for their success and sustainability.

Objective
 

We are looking to hire four trainers, one for each province, to conduct a three-day training for self-help group members. The training will focus on improving their understanding of savings, skill-building, teamwork, and sustainability. Covering the following topics during the training.

  • Regular Savings and Lending Activities:
    Educating members on pooling resources, maintaining financial discipline, and facilitating accessible loans.
  • Capacity Building and Skill Development:
    Enhancing entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and leadership skills among members.
  • Mutual Support and Solidarity:
    Promoting mutual assistance, sharing experiences, and fostering resilience.
  • Local Ownership and Sustainability:
    Encouraging local leadership and pride in group management to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Social Capital and Community Development:
    Mobilizing resources and fostering community engagement through collective actions.

 

 

 

 

Deliverables:

  • A training plan with a schedule and methods before the session.
  • Successful delivery of the three-day training.
  • A short report after the training, including attendance, activities, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Conduct a pre-test at the beginning and a post-test at the end of the training to evaluate learning outcomes.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in training or community development.
  • Good understanding of self-help group concepts and gender equality.
  • Strong communication skills in local languages.
  • Knowledge of the local culture and challenges in the assigned province.
