About Future Generations Afghanistan:

Future Generations (FG) is the collective name for an international network of non-governmental organizations including FG Country Programs in Asia and Africa, Future Generations University (FGU) and its alumni in 17 countries, academia, and individual’s experts. The original charitable organization, Future Generations, was established in 1992 for the purpose of learning from, and building upon the world’s most successful examples of community empowerment and social change. It is complemented by the Future Generations Graduate School (Future Generations University) in 2006 in the State of West Virginia with authorization to provide a Master's Degree in Applied Community Change focus on Conservation and Peace building.  The Future Generations Afghanistan (FGA) established in May 2002 and obtained its registration certificate from Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan in October 2005.  Since 2007, FGA has been operational in Eastern Afghanistan, and successfully completed development and humanitarian programs in Nangarhar, Laghman , Kunar, Nuristan, Logar, Wardak, Nimruz, Herat, Kanadahar, Badghis and Bamyan Provinces

Job Descriptions:

Responsible for oversight of the physical day to day infrastructure work in order to ensure the work is being done correctly and assist the Site Engineer in assessments of work quality and work progress

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for oversight of the physical day to day infrastructure work in order to ensure the work is being done correctly, required worker are present, working as per the requirement which overall help with the completion of project activities on time as scheduled in project documents
  • Assist the Site Engineer in preparation of daily work/activity report, record of contractor’s man-power, equipment and material at the construction site
  • In coordination with the Site Engineer make sure that the contractor is mobilized with qualified personnel, skilled and unskilled labors, equipment, and materials available on site to complete construction activities as planned
  • In coordination with the Site Engineer conduct Inspection of concrete mix ratio.
  • Keep records/file of daily work activity report.
  • Keep records/ file of field inspection forms.
  • Keep records and maintain files of the field for the
  • Keep records of project photos , taken during the construction works
  • Assist the Site Engineer in preparation of the monthly work progress report
  • Forman is responsible to take attendance of physical labors, record project activities progress and report it to project design engineer and data entry officer on daily base
  • Forman will take photos before, during and after project activities completed
  • Forman will come first and leave project site later from all labors and provide guidance and instructions to labors as per the project design engineers
  • Forman will record on daily and monthly base  of all project labors who will get their foods or cash after the verification and certification of project design engineer and community project management committee
  • Forman is responsible to coordinate the effort of labors (skill and un-skill) who is working for completing project activities. Forman need to know
  • The Forman will also look after the project implementation standards, labors safety and risk mitigations

Qualification:

Adept at working with local communities.

Familiar with the project areas.

Able to follow instructions, and prioritize tasks assigned.

Experience with working with an INGO or other organizations is desirable.
