In 2015 a group of educated, dynamic, and like-minded youth working in the development sector, got together to establish an organization, for addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of the people of Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

  • Assist day-to-day administration of the Logistics supply chain.
  • Assist with planning, supervision, and distribution to all field operations in close coordination with the Logistics Manager and other Supporting staff.
  • Ensure that all aspects of procurement for the country program are done in line with the SEARCH Organization procurement procedures
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling and preparing meetings, placing and responding to phone calls, copying, distributing, and documenting correspondence.
  • Logistic support of site offices.
  • Organize and manage the warehouse space and any storage space at the office with the Warehouse Officer to maximize storage space and easy/safe access.
  • Monthly inventory of all the stores
  • Ensure Stock Cards are kept accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and other documents as requested.
  • Take meeting minutes, and organize and distribute minutes as required.
  • Assist staff in the arrangement of official travels and missions.
  • Draft official emails and correspondence.
  • Keeping track of the transport logbook for the office vehicles both in the Kunar/Nuristan and in the sites, and following up with drivers on transport-related issues.
  • Oversee maintenance of the vehicle.
  • Ensure an orderly transport system and schedule for the office.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of the filing system.
  • Ensure materials are handled in a business-sensitive and confidential manner.
  • Preparing inventory lists.
  • Maintain meeting and project activity calendar.
  • Perform any other official duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree relevant to the position, master’s degree preferred
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Ability to take direction and to focus on and follow through on priority activities and assignments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks without compromising the quality, team spirit, and constructive working relationships with all colleagues.
  • A strong command of English, Dari, and Pashtu languages in both written and oral is required.           
  • Should also be familiar with Microsoft Office software and any other relevant computer skills.
