Main duties and responsibilities:

TSFP Assistant will work under the direct responsibility of HF in charge with close coordination of other HF staff particularly MCH and CBHC (CHS/CHWs), she is responsible of ensuring proper storage and distribution of all TSFP related commodities received for programs, according to criteria and Nutrition guidelines:

TSFP Assistant should receive food commodities (directly from WFP or from OPHCD stock), and ensure the quantities match with the documentation (waybills)

In case of discrepancy between the amount received and the documentation, she should contact with nutrition officer immediately

Food distributors should register all Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) and TSFP children and PLWs in the register book after diagnosed through screening (MUAC & W/H), screening will be done by MW or nurse.

TSFP Assistant should assist HF staff on other documentation of CMAM and TSFP such as filling the treatment cards, ration cards …

she should provide monthly report of TSFP stock consumption and balance to the HF in charge and OPHCD office.

she should attend to the DD to share the list of defaulters with the CHWs for follow-up

she should proceed with any other task for which he/she should be assigned by the HF in charge and OPHCD office.

she should do daily inventory of the TSFP stock to ensure TSFP commodities are distributed equally to both PLWs and children.

she should properly record all deliveries received and rations distributed in the stock cards

she should do weekly cross check of TSFP commodities with the number of rations distributed to ensure there is no loss of TSFP items

Regular check out the TSFP commodities to ensure that is not spilled/wasted and it is in good condition

Prepare and submit the report on monthly basis.

Keep update of relevant stock cards and patient’s cards

To actively contribute to the successful development and good reputation of the OPHCD.

Any other task assigned by the line supervisor

Qualifications:

Education

 Nurse, Midwife and Diploma are preferred.

Experience

At least 2 Years’ work experience in Nutrition with government or Non-government organization, UN Agencies or other development organizations

Other skills required:

Very good oral and written communication skills

Very good interpersonal skills

Good understanding of the target area language and culture

Be able to work in hard-to-reach people in communities.

Sensitivity to religious, cultural and gender issues in the local context and for targeted districts in mentioned provinces in particular.

The ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to work on a team or independently

Good understanding of project planning

Very good self-management competencies.

Good understanding of humanitarian principles, standards and frameworks.
