Accountant - Receivables

GAAC Holding Afghanistan is a subsidiary company of GAAC Holding SPV LTD, a UAE based company of global best in class partners with specialist in airport management and extensive experience working in emerging markets. With circa 1,000 employees in Afghanistan, GAAC provides ground handling and aviation security services in different international airports, including Kabul, Heart, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif.

• Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follows up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with operations teams to address billing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with customers.
• Implement effective credit control measures to minimize bad debt.
• Prepare revenue and receivables reports periodically for the HO and MoTA.
• Prepare monthly reports on receivables performance and cash flow forecasts.
• Assist with audits related to accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Assist with the external and MoTA audit.
• Ensure all the SGHAs are configured and implemented for each customer
• Ensure the revenue and debt collection policy is implemented

• Must have bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or related.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles, standards and practices.
• Proven experience of accounts receivable or similar role
• Having ACCA, CPA and other relevant certifications are a plus point
• Strong knowledge of accounting software packages and MS office packages.
• Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English, Dari/Pashto – written and spoken. 
• Strong computer skills (MS Office packages)
