About HealthNet TPO
HealthNet TPO is a Netherlands based not for profit, non-governmental organization founded on the principle that access to affordable quality health care is a basic human right.
In 1992 HealthNet TPO was established by ‘Doctors without Borders’ to bridge the gap between emergency aid and structural development. The organization is now the result of a merger between HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI has knowledge and experience in reinforcing healthcare systems and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of transmissible diseases. TPO is an expert in the field of psychosocial and mental health care for survivors of war and natural disasters. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is managed by a team of qualified Afghans and supported by a team of experts at the HQ of the organization in Holland.
HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. HealthNet TPO is currently implementing projects in almost 20 provinces of Afghanistan and the major program it implements are HER (Health Emergency Response) projects in three provinces, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial, Malaria Control program, Tuberculus....... through a community system strengthening approach.
HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel.
Job Description
Medical Activities and OPD
- Do OPD consultations for female patients,
- Take accurate history, perform HealthNet TPOn ation and diagnosis
- Prescribe appropriate treatments according to HealthNet TPO and WHO guidelines and provide health education targeted on the patients diseases.
- Refer the CBA women and children to vaccination
Medical Activities in IPD
- Organize the OBS/GYN ward with midwives.
- Take an accurate history; perform HeathNet TPO nation, diagnosis and prescription for IPD patients
- Follow up the OBS/GYN patients after the surgery in recovery room
- Taking every day the IPD patients progressive notes
- Follow up the IPD activity (taking vital sign, dressing, nurses, provide treatment) of nurse
- Giving order for blood transfusion for the patients if necessary
- Fill up the patients IPD documents
- Participate every day in morning report
- Do night duty according schedule and on call

- Participate every day in morning reportTo actively participate in activities designed to improve the service to clients, patients and clinicians.
- To promote patients’ rights and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Any other duties assigned by the hospital director/supervisor.
- Comply with all HealthNet TPO policies, protocols, and operational procedures.
- Attend relevant trainings, meetings, and capacity-building sessions organized by HealthNet TPO.
- Maintain respectful, compassionate, and professional behaviour in all duties.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Hospital Director or HealthNet TPO management team.
Coordination with Health Net TPO:
- Be aware of Health Net TPO protocols and policies
- make monthly reports
- Join the training and meeting Upon request
- perform any tasks assigned by hospital manager, medical director, and HealthNet TPO leadership team
Job Requirements
- Graduated from recognized medical faculty (Exit Exam should be Passed)
- At least three years’ working experience as a doctor in the hospital
- Knowledge of HMIS
- Good communication and team working skills
- Experience in Sonographer is preferred
