Job Description
The Teacher Trainer will be responsible for strengthening the capacity of teachers and facilitators engaged in CBE/CBS and EiE classes. The role focuses on improving teaching quality, classroom management, learner-centered methodologies, and adherence to national and humanitarian education standards.
Key Responsibilities
Training Design and Delivery
- Develop and deliver teacher training modules aligned with national curriculum and EiE standards.
- Conduct initial and refresher trainings for teachers and facilitators.
- Facilitate interactive, participatory, and practical training sessions.
Capacity Building and Mentorship
- Provide continuous coaching, mentoring, and technical support to teachers.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Support teachers in applying learner-centered and inclusive teaching approaches.
Quality Assurance and Technical Support
- Ensure quality of teaching, lesson delivery, and use of teaching and learning materials.
- Promote child-friendly, gender-sensitive, and inclusive learning environments.
- Support implementation of effective classroom management techniques.
Curriculum and Materials Support
- Ensure teachers effectively use approved curriculum and teaching materials.
- Support adaptation of materials for different learning needs and contexts.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor teacher performance and training outcomes.
- Maintain records of trainings, attendance, and performance assessments.
- Prepare regular reports on training activities, challenges, and progress.
Coordination and Collaboration
- Coordinate with Project Manager, education authorities, and field teams.
- Participate in education cluster meetings and coordination forums when required.
Safeguarding and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to child protection, safeguarding, and PSEA policies.
- Promote safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environments.
Expected Deliverables
- High-quality teacher training sessions conducted.
- Improved teaching practices and classroom performance.
- Regular mentoring and coaching reports.
- Enhanced learning outcomes in CBE/CBS and EiE classes.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field .
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in teaching, teacher training, or education programme implementation.
- Experience in CBE/CBS or EiE programmes is highly desirable.
- Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations is an asset.
- Fluency in written and spoken Dari and Pashto is required.
- Knowledge of English is an advantage.
