Job Description

Job Description:

The Master Trainers under this project will design, deliver, and oversee high-quality training programs for health and project staff, ensuring capacity building, standardization of service delivery, and adherence to national and organizational guidelines.

TOR:

The Master Trainers will perform the following tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conduct interactive, high-quality training sessions for MHNT and CHW staff on:
    • Integrated Management of Newborn and Childhood Illnesses (IMNCI)
    • Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM)
    • Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF)
    • Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)
    • Immunization practices
    • Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)
    • Emergency healthcare service delivery
  • Use participatory methods such as practical demonstrations, role-playing, and case studies to enhance learning and retention.
  • Develop or adapt training tools and materials in line with national health guidelines and global best practices.
  • Ensure that training content is culturally sensitive, gender-inclusive, and easy to understand.
  • Regularly review, revise, and update training content based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Build the capacity of MHNTs and CHWs to effectively recognize and respond to health and nutrition emergencies.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of training programs.
  • Conduct post-training follow-up and evaluate training effectiveness through practical assessments and feedback mechanisms.

 

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in medical, nursing, public health, nutrition, psychology, or related field or bachelor’s degree with additional one year of related experience
  • Additional certification in training, facilitation, or learning methodologies is highly preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of related work experience preferably in training and capacity building
  • Strong knowledge of primary healthcare, MNCH, IYCF, IMAM, MHPSS
  • Strong familiarity with national health guidelines and Humanitarian standards
  • Ability to develop and adapt training materials, conduct participatory learning sessions, evaluate training effectiveness

Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, engage in diverse groups, group dynamics and participatory methods, mentor and coach staff
