Job Descriptions:

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing support to the Regional Coordinator, FI to lead the FI team for planning, implementing FI activities, monitoring, and evaluating the FI program activities in the area and region.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage, lead and supervise all day-to-day financial inclusion (FI) activities and staff in the region.
  • To arrange & mobilize the community for running the FI program as well.
  • Prepare plans and executes FI Plans in the region and guide Area & district officers and District Assistant to execute FI plans in district wise and organize thematic training to the formed institution in the field as well.
  • Help and design programs for both men and women to enhance gender equal development.
  • Mobilize the community and CBSG through forming Cluster; inculcate savings; encourage credit rotation among the members from their own resources; conduct periodic meetings.
  • Conduct field visits as per approved plans, Monitor and evaluate the project for its effectiveness and success.
  • Establish proper systems at every group to undertake program activities conduct their transactions and operate a suitable Management Information System and Ensure proper repayments among the members for effective functioning of CBSGs/SHG, cluster.
  • Check the accounts documents such as monthly cash flow, cash book, loan and saving records, and randomly check the passbooks with the loan and saving ledgers of the Group members,
  • To guide the concerned staff of FI in database maintenance by ensuring the proper documentation of events and preparation of narrative and financial reports, keeping records and maintaining a systematic filing system.
  • Organize and facilitate training events, exposure visits and other capacity building opportunities to develop capacities of FI staff and follow FI activities in the field as well.
  • Preparing and providing regular reports (Weekly. Monthly, Simi-annual and annual progress reports) for FI activities to Regional Coordinator, FI.
  • Provide inputs to the performance management planning of the supervisees,
  • Participate in all trainings and meetings conducted by the project from time to time.
  • To support Regional Manager, FI & Area manager for preparing FI YPO with consideration of gender role in the area.
  • To carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects AKF’s commitment to protecting children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy.

OCCASIONAL SIGNIFICANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keep an amicable environment and working relationship with the village elders, Community Development Councils, Shuras and other NGOs in the area.
  • Liaise with Logistic Department and other sections in case related FI issues to ensure smooth implementation of Programs.
  • Any tasks are assigned by the immediate supervisor or senior management at the area office level.

Job Requirements:

JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Holds minimum a bachelor’s degree (preferably in economic studies field).
  • At least 3-5 years’ work experience in Community based saving group (CBSG) program.
  • Good Communication and Report Writing Skills in National/Local Languages.
  • Very Good computer Knowledge of MS Office Packages.
  • Communication, Problem Solving, Proven ability in team-building and strong organizational, interpersonal and community mobilization skills.
  • Ability to perform well in stressful situations.
