Job Descriptions:

  • Lead the Kerk in Active/KIA Fund for CAID - Afghanistan Earthquake part of ACT Fund. (Act Appeal) project field team as a part of OCHR’s overall development and Humanitarian response program.
  • Develop a project program plan, ensure its smooth implementation, and manage the team’s performance of project tasks and activities that may include, but are not limited to:
  • Participate at cluster and other meetings.
  • Regularly coordinate project activities with local government line departments.
  • Implement the Kerk in Active/KIA Fund for CAID - Afghanistan Earthquake part of ACT Fund. (Act Appeal) project activities and ensure safe delivery of the activities as per the project implementation plan in the project proposal.
  • He /She is to select beneficiaries, carry out coordination with authorities such as in-line departments, local security official for safe delivery of the activities and local officials such as head of districts. (villages).
  • Creation and training of management structures.
  • He / she is responsible to make sure project activities are conducted on time and provide regular reports to the main office of OCHR.
  • Carrying out of Baseline assessments, on the spot monitoring and post-implementation monitoring.
  • The project manager is also responsible for the management of the all staff involved in the project
  • Manage the project team human resources and provide technical support, training and capacity building.
  • Assign daily task to the lawyers/religious leaders, and conduct M&E supervisions.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and Finale project report.

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in BBA, Law, Project Management, Social Science, or any related Degree preferably with specialization in humanitarian response programs and Advocacy/social Cohesion programs or similar relevant qualification.  
  • Five years of experience in similar projects with preferably two years in NGO’s sector       
  • Technical and practical competence in economic development, advocacy, capacity building and rising awareness programs including experience in GBV-Women empowerment, Action Projects, Anti-Corruption, Conflict Resolution, building inter communal trust, conducting social Assessments, Beneficiary Selection, emergency response programs, Vulnerability Certifies and related activities.
  • Experience in managing multi-Sectoral programs in developing wellbeing and Capacity building.
  • Proven experience in program development, monitoring and reporting
  • Excellent written and oral English language skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous coordination/management experience
  • Previous experience with UN-Agencies, Education clusters, National NGOs or UNDP.
  • Structured, well organized and self-driven
  • Excellent communication, cooperation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build other people’s capacity
  • Culture and conflict sensitive
