Balkh Air Services is a Ground Handling Company established in June 2013.

From the date of establishment BAS is providing Comprehensive Ground Handling Services as sole provider and Airport Maintenance Services at Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport, Mazare Sharif, Afghanistan.

BAS is the first private Ground Handling Company in Afghanistan to be member of IATA since 2018 and it is an ISAGO certified Ground Handler in Afghanistan since 2018.

BAS has a bright background of providing Ground Handling Services for last 10 years through experts and certified staff by IATA Authorized training centers. Apart from providing such trainings for staff, BAS has committed to facilitate direct IATA trainings for its management out of which obtaining Ground Operations Diploma can be an excellent outcome for it.

BAS is proud to be the first Ground Handler in Afghanistan to start providing services with complete package of professionalized GSE being imported from European countries.

• Advise operational management on GSE purchases, obtain quotes from providers to ensure cost effective provision of GSE according to client standards.
• Prepare and operate list of approved GSE providers.
• Make Sure all checklists are updated and all required data are entered in GSE software.
• Receives and inspects all incoming machines, materials and reconciles with purchase orders.
• Troubleshooting on site to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and/or electrical discrepancies on various Ground support equipments (GSE) systems and subsystems.
• Inspect, repair. and/or overhaul components, such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
• Strict adherence to all environmetal safety and regulatory commissions, including (but not limited to) occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) and Environmental protection Agency (EPA)
• Distributes the purchased order and maintain the inventory.
• Documentation of purchase orders reports, quotes and damages descriptions.
• Receives, stores, tags and tracks surplus property and prepares property lists.
• Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property.
• Responsible for the maintenance of equipment/vehicles and act as a leader for the section.
• Follow-up all warranty claims with respective suppliers.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to the management including all executed job/s. Submit damage (GSE/Airport or Company’s Properties) reports on time and taking necessary action.
• Raise needed reports in case of any accident/incidents.
• Place needed parts order and carry out required follow–up with concerned department.
• Ensure and monitor cleanness of working assigned areas.
• Ensures availability of required tools and safety related materials.
• Complies with all safety regulations set out by the company, suppliers of the equipment and the local airport authorities.
• Check the spare parts and consumables availability and raise needed spare parts and consumables for further processing.
• Review the performance of areas of control and evaluate for possible improvements.
• Recommends staff training requirements.
• May serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area.

Bachelor/Diplome Degree in mechanical Engineering or any othe related fields

Well knowledge of Machinss, different cars/vehicles Maintenance.

Heavy equipment experience for consideration

Experience in managing a team of mechanics or maintenance technicians.

well knowledge of trouble shooting electrical and hydraulic systems

Data Entry

Good knowledge of English Language (Specially Technical Vocabulary)

Good Knowledge of MS Office
