About Union Aid:

Union Aid (UA) was established by a group of Afghan philanthropists and social activists in July 1979 in Peshawar, Pakistan. Union Aid was serving Afghan Refugees and host communities living in/around refugee camps through various projects in three main sectors; health, education and skill development. UA has been providing basic health services through hospitals, Basic Health Units (BHUs), labor rooms, provision of prosthetic limbs and first aid trainings. UA facilitated Afghan Refugees in education sector through providing formal basic and higher education, skill development programs for men and women, literacy centers and scholarships.

Union Aid is actively providing regular support in humanitarian & development sectors such as, Healthcare, Nutrition, Education, Scholarships, Technical Vocational Education Trainings, Family Support Programs, Emergency Response and Support, Livelihoods, Food Security, Shelter, Construction/Rehabilitation of community level infrastructures, Environmental Protection, and WASH.

Job Descriptions:

Introduction:

 

Under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director and Program Manager and in close coordination with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Project Supervisors, and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer the Reporting and Liaison Officer will be responsible for performing the following duties:

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop appropriate reporting formats to meet all reporting requirements of the Project (s).
  • Coordinate inputs to and draft reports related to project activities.
  • Establish a reporting schedule and ensure the timely submission of reports as identified.
  • Coordinate the finalization of donor reporting with Union Aid Senior Management.
  • Liaise with NGOs, UN, INGOs, Government, and other Hubs regarding the dissemination of reports and the accuracy of information included in visibility materials and publications.
  • Provide quality assurance, including data verification, on all reports and information products produced by the project by editing and consolidating all reports prepared by the project
  • Support the Program/Project Staff in the collection and transcribing of relevant data during field and/or office visits and meetings.
  • Alert the Executive Director, Program Manager and other Program/Project Teams on projects related issues which may affect the projects in terms of reporting.
  • Liaise with other sections of Union Aid Hub, such as Finance, Procurement, Health and Operation, to obtain the necessary information and ensure the quality and accuracy of data that is being reported.
  • Meet regularly with the project teams to receive information and provide feedback. The exact frequency will be determined by the Union Aid Projects Managers, Coordinators and may vary depending on the status of the projects and availability of the Projects members.
  • Draft briefing notes, talking points and other correspondence related to the project (s) and meetings held.
  • Establish and maintains effective relationships with stakeholders and undertake the necessary coordination to ensure the project (s) smooth implementation.
  • Serve as the secretariat of the Steering Committee, and be responsible for organizing the meetings, keeping record of the meetings, and ensuring that follow-up actions are completed.
  • Serve as a liaison with the project donor (s) for coordination of meetings, feedback and progress updates, ensuring the support to the project manager in managing the relationship with the donor.
  • Conduct other duties as required by the Line Manager (s).

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in relevant field.
