Afghan Community and Health Rehabilitation Organization (ACHRO) are non-political, non for profit, non- governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of GIRoA on April, 08, 2010 under registration # 1658. ACHRO’s   DUNS # is 561208134. ACHRO has also been registered or recognized as partner with more than 40 national and International organizations. ACHRO is active Partner of (UNHCR) and (WHH). ACHRO has established and maintains network with civil society, community-based social institutions, and government line ministries in Afghanistan. ACHRO’s core sectors of activities include health, emergency/relief, capacity building, and livelihood and development sectors. ACHRO is currently implementing UNHCR-funded projects in the South-East, south and central regions of the country. 

• Summary:

   project manager has to manage the team, maintain friendly relations with the client, build a realistic project plan, deliver the outcomes on time, schedule tasks, and delegate assignments. They need to track the progress and performance of the project, along with the performance and efficiency of their team members.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing the project implementation plan
• Overall management of project resources including material resources as well as human resources under his/her supervision
• Ensuring the project smooth and effective implementation as per the implementation plan, and required technical documents.
• Ensuring that the project is achieving the planned outcomes and deliverables
• Assisting the project staff in preparation and implementation of their personal plans as per their specific responsibilities within the project
• Regularly coaching and controlling the project staff to improve their job performance
• Assisting and facilitating planned project Monitoring and Evaluation
• Liaising with relevant government authorities in project-related issues
• Coordination with all major stakeholders including the donor, ACHRO HQ, local government authorities and others
• Representing ACHRO in cluster coordination meetings in Kabul and target province.
• Updating ACHRO management on the status of the project through submitting monthly, quarterly and final project reports
• Effectively managing any possible risk or challenge that may affect the normal course of project implementation
• Engaging the target beneficiaries and other community members in project target areas in different stages of the project implementation

• Bachelor degree in business administration and project management, development studies and public relations. Master’s degree will be preferred
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
• Previous working experience with IDPs, refugees and/or returnees
