Job Descriptions:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts critical analysis research, develops or modifies policy, and evaluates programs in an assigned specialty area.  Analyze proposed policies to determine potential effects on the assigned department or program area(s). 

Tasks

  • Applying specialist knowledge in evaluating existing policies.
  • Determining if policies are aligned with stated goals and objectives.
  • Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure inclusion of relevant factors.
  • Identifying benefits, disadvantages, and omissions in existing policy frameworks.
  • Ensuring that policies and policy amendments meet legal requirements.
  • Reporting on findings and proposing new policies or amendments to existing policies.
  • Editing and finalizing new policies or amendments as required.
  • Review and evaluate legislation and policies
  • Determine the benefits and drawbacks of existing policies
  • Propose suggestions to improve the effects of policies
  • Edit and amend policy drafts as required
  • Gather data and produce reports on the qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Participate in the Proposal development process by providing insights and feedback

Deliverable:

  • Revised/ developed organization policies and procedures based on findings and recommendations provided by the M&E team, external review team, and financial verification team.
  • Develop new policies and procedures recommended by the financial verification team
  • Conduct training for Organization staff on developed policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, Business Administration, Business Management,   Human Resources, or similar fields.
  • At least five years of proven experience with a master’s degree and eight years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in developing and implementing organizational policies.
  • Experience developing training programs, creating training materials, and overseeing training sessions
