Job Description

  • Conduct community meetings, focus group discussions (FGDs), and awareness sessions to educate the population on health issues, services available, and the importance of health-seeking behavior.
  • Mobilize community members, including women’s groups, youth, and local leaders, to support and participate in health project activities.
  • Act as a bridge between the community and healthcare providers to ensure effective delivery of health services.
  • Organize and facilitate community health education campaigns focusing on maternal and child health, nutrition, hygiene, immunization, and other health-related topics.
  • Work with the project team to develop and distribute educational materials such as brochures, posters, and leaflets.
  • Encourage community members to adopt healthy practices and preventive measures to improve health outcomes
  • Assist in identifying vulnerable groups within the community and ensure they are linked to available healthcare services.
  • Work with healthcare providers and the project team to ensure timely delivery of services, including mobile health clinics, immunization drives, and nutritional screenings.
  • Help coordinate community-based events such as health fairs, vaccination drives, and awareness sessions.

Job Requirements

Preference will be given to couples who both meet the required qualifications and are willing to work together within the scope of the project.

Education & Experience:

 

  • High school diploma required; a diploma or degree in social sciences, public health, or community development is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community mobilization, preferably in a health-related project or NGO environment.
  • Experience working with diverse communities, especially in rural or underserved areas.
  • Proven experience in organizing community meetings, awareness campaigns, or health education sessions.

Commitment and Dedication:

  • Willingness to work in remote or underserved areas as needed.
  • Willingness to work outside official hours
  • Willingness to travel and work in remote or underserved areas as needed.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in both national language (Dari & Pashto) oral and written
  • Fluency in English is a must both oral and written
