The Diversity Visa Lottery is the name of this program. This means a large number of visas. As the name implies, the program aims to attract immigrants from different countries, ethnicities, and languages. Each year, the US State Department launches the program, and among those who enroll, 50,000 people will participate in a global lottery with full transparency at the State Department. The winning titles are selected. It is managed by the US government without external interference.

Starting on October 5, 2024, you can apply for the DV 2026 if you intend to reside, study, or operate a company in the US.

The Immigration Act, which went into effect in 1995, created the Diversity Visa (DV) program. There are 55,000 immigration visas available each year through a lottery. This program’s primary goal is to increase the diversity of the immigrant population in the US. For DV-2025, there are 55,000 visas available.

To complete your application, you need the following information:

• born in a qualifying country, or his or her spouse’s birth in a qualifying country.
• hold a minimum of a high school diploma (12 years) or have two years of work experience within the past five years in a profession that requires at least two years of training.
• Please provide your name, last name, gender, birth date, city and country of birth, email address, phone number, passport number, country of origin, passport expiration date, education degree, marital status, and any children’s information you may have.
• Children under 21 years old and spouses do not need to have a passport, and they can register with the head of the family.

• For DV 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, candidates require a current passport for international travel. Only the primary applicant (father or mother) for a family register is required to hold a current passport. Thankfully, this year dropped this criterion, allowing candidates without passports to register.
