progress for women and girls in Afghanistan. RRSWO acts on the fundamental premise that women and girls have the right to live a life free of discrimination, violence and poverty, and that gender equality is central to achieving development with reach, sizable expertise and significant resources. For too long, women have been forced to stand on the sidelines, whether the issue is political leadership, safety in conflict zones, protection from violence or access to public services. Now women must come to the centre as leaders, advocates and agents of change.

Job Descriptions:

The IT and Business Trainer will play a pivotal role in a comprehensive women’s empowerment project aimed at providing vocational training, entrepreneurship skills, and digital literacy to women affected by the crisis. The trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality training in IT and business management, enabling women to start and manage their own businesses, access online markets, and become financially independent. The trainer will also collaborate with other stakeholders to facilitate access to digital financial services and ensure women are equipped with the skills to thrive in the digital economy.

Job Requirements:

  • Design and deliver IT training programs focused on digital literacy, including the use of mobile devices, computers, and the internet for personal and business growth.
  • Teach women how to access and use online markets, digital financial services, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Provide hands-on training on entrepreneurship, including business planning, market research, and product development.
  • Teach financial literacy, including budgeting, pricing, and financial management tools.
  • Conduct workshops on marketing strategies, focusing on online marketing and social media use.
  • Assist participants in creating and maintaining business records, managing inventory, and ensuring business sustainability.
  • Guide participants in accessing microfinance opportunities and help them understand loan applications, repayment plans, and financial sustainability.
  • Work with technical teams to develop user-friendly mobile applications or platforms tailored to the needs of the local community for accessing online markets and financial services.
  • Offer ongoing support to participants, providing advice on IT, business, and financial challenges they face.
  • Collaborate with the program team to conduct periodic assessments of the training's impact on women's economic independence and their ability to engage in digital markets.
  • Gather feedback from participants and adjust the training curriculum and methods as needed to ensure maximum effectiveness.
