RRSWO (Rah-e-Rahnaward Social Welfare Organization), is a Non-Governmental and Non-Profitable organization established in 2011 with registration no.( 3482) with Ministry of Justice and later registered with Ministry of Economy in 2019 (4865) as historic opportunity to jump-start

progress for women and girls in Afghanistan. RRSWO acts on the fundamental premise that women and girls have the right to live a life free of discrimination, violence and poverty, and that gender equality is central to achieving development with reach, sizable expertise and significant resources. For too long, women have been forced to stand on the sidelines, whether the issue is political leadership, safety in conflict zones, protection from violence or access to public services. Now women must come to the centre as leaders, advocates and agents of change.

Job Descriptions:

The Project officer shall be responsible to ensure that all program activities in Herat/Jalalabad are implemented according to the project work plan and to ensure effective record keeping of all project activities by team members.  She/he will support the project based staff to conduct monitoring and evaluation of the project activities and shall play a pivotal role in writing periodic reports for the donor on the progress of the project.  It will be required from the Project officer to prepare a monthly plan of his/her activities that will clearly lay out what he/she wishes to implement in the following month based on general project plan.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management and implementation of project activities in Herat/Jalalabad according to work plan.
  • Ensure the success of the project meeting its objectives, outcomes and aims as set out in the project proposal.
  • Supervise and support the team of provincial staff including Social workers, Psychosocial counselors and IT/Business Trainer.
  • prepare weekly and monthly work-plans and report on their activities; and ensure the project team is in regular coordination and communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Follow up staff progression and support team members with professional development.
  • Oversee project budget and financial monitoring; coordinate with RRSWO Finance Officer.
  • Plan and supervise the M&E activities in Herat/Jalalabad along with the implementing partners and ensure the monitoring and evaluation activities lead to accountability and learning towards the project log, frame and indicators.
  • Based on the review of M&E data the Project officer should be able to provide inputs on adapting the project implementation plan so as to meet project goals.
  • Review the success and challenges of the projects; and report to Program Manager any challenges faced in achieving the project’s expected results.
  • Maintain existing positive working relationships with relevant authorities in Herat/Jalalabad including relevant sectorial departments, DOEC and DoLSAMD; OCHA child protection stakeholders; international donors; and NGOs and local civil society.
  • Knowledge and full compliance of education activities with government laws policies procedures rules and regulations.
  • Carry out duties entrusted to him/her impartially and in accordance with the best professional practices.
  • Maintain complete independence in relation to all individuals’ organizations and government bodies.
  • Any other relevant duties as assigned by line manager.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor or Master degree preferable in business administration, Economic, Laws and any other social science faculty.
 

Experience:

 

  • At least three years of experience in similar capacity with government or NGOs,
  •  Ability to deal with difficult, often challenging work situations,

Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office including spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and word processing
