The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Any breaches of PSEAH clauses in NAC’s policies, guidelines, and/or commitments will lead to immediate termination and possible legal actions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The female security assistant is responsible for the safety and security of Balkh Office’s women working environment, staff assets, and MRC compound during working hours.
Key accountabilities
To ensure all women feel their safety and security well and cordon with NAC security policy and general regulations in place.
The monitor and body search for all incoming and outgoing staff and visitors to determine whether they should be granted admission to the premises.
To remain in reception room for all incoming and outgoing women staff and visitors monitor and body search during the duty time and report any miss behavior and response to line manager and seek advice for solution.
To be alerted all times for any unwanted security incidents and to take lead of women to direct them to safe rooms and or to assembly points upon any emergency.
Always remain on duty from 07:30 am till 04:15 pm till all women staff leaving the compound.
To safe keep all extra luggage/stuff of women staff in the clipboards or specific areas were allocated for replacing items.
Make regular inspections around the office compound to ensure the premises are secure in day shifts.
To Inform and maintain close contact at all times with the security unit concerning the security of the offices.
To accompany all the visitors to concerned departments.
To check the released outgoing items and ensure that paper release and documentation are completed as per the organization's policy.
To report any irregularities and ensure follow-up security action is taken in line with the management and security unit.
Hand over the duty to the night shift guards about what happens during the day.
Avoid female visitors entering to the compound without proper registration.
Any other task directed by line manager
Language requirements, if any
Dari, Pashto, and somehow English (not a must but a plus point)
Qualifications Required
Schools Diploma are preferred
Work Experience
At least 3 years of experience in any security relevant duties
Skills
Familiar with Search metallic devices.
Knowledge of using VHF radios.
Able to manage and operate with security camera monitors.
Communication skills.
Able to operate as per the organization’s safety and security protocols.
