Job Descriptions:

Job Porpuse
The Neutering Care Group project officer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of the Nurturing Care Group (NCG) model. This role involves coordinating with community health workers, training volunteer behavior change agents, and ensuring the effective delivery of health, nutrition, and early childhood development messages to caregiver groups at the neighborhood level.

 

Major Responsibilities

Project Implementation:

  •  Coordinate the establishment and functioning of Nurturing Care Groups.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of NCG activities.
  • Training and Capacity Building:
  • Train community health workers and volunteer behavior change agents.
  • Provide ongoing support and capacity building to ensure effective message delivery.

Community Engagement:

  •  Facilitate community meetings and engage with local leaders, faith leaders, and government services.
  •  Promote social support and cohesion among caregiver groups.

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyse data on NCG activities and outcomes.
  • Prepare regular reports on program progress and impact.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  •   Work closely with health sector teams, WHO, DoPH, and other stakeholders.
  •  Participate in health cluster meetings and contribute to strategic planning.

Reporting planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and supervision

  • Submission of purchase requests for project operations on timely manner
  • Responsible to provide daily reconciliation report and monthly distribution report to zonal manager, Health and nutrition sector.
  • Prevent and report for any fraud, corruption of allocated distributions to project beneficiaries.
  • Provide supervision to CBFs and any guidance need for the performance.

Other

  • Adhere to WV Child and Adult Safeguarding policy and standards. Adhere to WV accountability standards.

 

Job Requirements:

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Social Work, or a related field work experience. Work skill of MS Office

 

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community health or development programs.
  •  good report writing skills.
  • Strong training and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.

Required Language(s)

Fluent in Dari Familiar and having the ability to communicate and write the reports in English Language.

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge and/or other Qualifications

Having MD/Midwifery, Nursing experience is highly preferred.

Experience with the Care Group model or similar community-based approaches.

 Knowledge of local languages and cultural practices.

 Familiarity with health and nutrition issues in the region.

 Working Conditions:

 The position may require travel to remote areas.
