Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD).  In order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.

Job Descriptions:

Accountable to TSFP Project Officer.

The main role is to Monitoring of TSFP sites at health facilities

CHWs and health shura in health facilities and coordinate TSFP activities with community.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work under the overall leadership of the TSFP Project nutrition Officer as per project agreement in all catchment areas in Paktika province.
  • Ensure regular supportive supervision and technical inputs during field visits of all service delivery points in close coordination with other provincial office team members.
  • Responsible for monitoring and assessment of daily project activities in all service delivery points and preparing constructive feedback and report to concerned project staff.
  • Represent the organization in different provincial level health sessions and events like health surveillance meetings, weekly and monthly PHO/PPHD meetings and scheduled and urgent based performance workshops at BARAN provincial office level.
  • Prepare and submit regular project reports and data according to approved monthly action plan and field activities under the leadership of project focal point.
  • Work with project management, health facility based distributors and measurers and local community people as per organization general guidelines and project work scope.
  • Maintain project performance and activities related data and documents both at health facility and project office level.
  • Responsible to improve performance of distributors and measurers at health facility level through regular on job training, constructive feedback and orientation of project tasks.
  • Work together with other vertical projects staff, health facility staff, local PPHD, WFP and other stakeholders for quality improvement of the project activities.
  • Ensure active participation in scheduled and urgent field visits and joint supervisions with other stakeholders, regional office colleagues and local PPHD members.
  • Staff on the job training.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor or similar diploma from a recognized institute in Afghanistan or from outside the country in public health, medicine of nursing.
  2. The candidate must have minimum 02 years of field operation experience in relevant or similar assignment with familiarity of working in similar local context.
  3. Must be willing to undertake and work under stressful condition including frequent field visits of different service delivery points in all districts of Paktika province.
  4. Candidates with previous experience of working in BPHS or Nutrition Projects in same or similar project context are preferred and encouraged to apply.
