Job Descriptions:

  • Oversee the implementation of programs across Afghanistan, ensuring alignment with VDO's thematic areas and organizational goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and deadlines for effective program execution.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to program activities, including project plans, progress reports, and evaluations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Regularly report monthly to the system, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, project final reports, and inception reports according to donor and VDO formats.
  • Develop reporting formats and other formats as needed for grants.
  • Manage UNPRP, Report Hub, and cluster reporting requirements.
  • Get input from portfolio program managers/coordinators, reminding departments of program narrative reporting, and compiling data.
  • Prepare contents for VDO booklets, annual program reports, mid-term reports, and emergency reports required for donors.
  • Communicate with donors, outlining and facilitating key areas of programmatic initiatives for branding and promotion.
  • Liaise with the Communications Department to contribute to external communications, highlighting program achievements and impact.
  • Develop outreach plans to engage with communities and beneficiaries effectively.
  • Collaborate on project implementation, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Foster positive relations with government entities and agencies involved in program implementation.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process, aligning program activities with organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with program teams to track the implementation of projects, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure effective collaboration among team members to meet project targets and deliverables.
  • Take an active role in developing project proposals, collaborating with the Grants and Proposals team to secure funding for new initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of case studies and success stories for promotional materials.
  • Work towards meeting the targets set for each project, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration specialized in management. Professional certification in PMP is desirable.
  • At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in managing emergency response, Education, Food Distribution, Health programs.
  • Experience in egaging with different relevant clusters
  • Profeciency in cluster coordination
  • Experience working with communities

Commitment and Dedication:

  • Knowledge, understanding and commitment to organizational policies
  • Willingness to travel to provinces when planed by the management
  • Willingness to work outside official hours

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in both national language (Dari & Pashto) oral and written
  • Fluency in English is a must both oral and written
