Job Descriptions:

  •  Project Planning and Coordination: To Lead the planning and coordination team of 220 kV transmission line projects from commencement to completion. This involves developing project’s scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Technical Design and Engineering: To Oversee the technical design and engineering aspects of 220 kV transmission lines, ensuring compliance with client standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. Provide guidance on conductor selection, tower design, and route optimization.
  • Team Leadership and Management: To Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians involved in transmission line projects. Provide directions, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: To Manage relationships with stakeholders such as regulatory authorities, utility companies, landowners, and local communities affect by transmission line projects. Address concerns, facilitate communication, and negotiate agreements to support project objectives.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: To Oversee the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for 220 kV transmission line projects. To Manage contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budgetary constraints.
  • Risk Management: To Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with transmission line projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery. To monitor project progress and address issues proactively to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: To implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure that transmission line construction activities meet established standards and specifications. To conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to verify compliance and address non-conformities.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: To prioritize health, safety, and environmental considerations throughout the project lifecycle. To develop and implement safety protocols, environmental management plans, and risk mitigation measures to protect workers and minimize environmental impact.
  • Budget and Cost Management: To manage project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs against planned expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements. To prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and reporting requirements.
  • Communication and Reporting: To communicate project status, progress, and key milestones to internal and external stakeholders through regular meetings, presentations, and reports. To ensure transparency and accountability in project management processes and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: To foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team by encouraging feedback, implementing lessons learned, and adopting best practices. To stay abreast of industry developments and technological advancements to enhance project delivery capabilities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: To ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, permits, and approvals governing the planning, design, construction, and operation of 220 kV transmission lines. To work closely with regulatory authorities to address any compliance issues or inquiries.
  • Overall, a Transmission Line OHL 220 kV Expert or Specialist with management skills plays a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of high-voltage transmission line projects, balancing technical requirements, regulatory compliance, stakeholder interests, and project objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • The applicant must have a deep understanding of transmission line.
  • Familiar with the nature of formal meetings, training, workshops, and ability to share information
  • University degree, (Bachelors minimum) is required in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of specific experience in the field of transmission line with international donors or Government.
  • Ability to be flexible, work irregular hours and be multi-tasked. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate in written and spoken English, and fluent in Dari and Pashto is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office and must have understanding of PLS-CAD or equivalent software.
  • Reliable, Honest, Transparent; Committed to hard work & exceptional work ethics.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills.
