Shining Star Educational Organization of Afghanistan (SSEOA) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan, with Registration Number 4388 dated February 18, 2018. SSEOA works in the fields of education, health, and livelihood in the remote regions of Afghanistan. SSEOA envisions creating educational opportunities for girls and women to grow, thrive, and prosper. SSEOA works to empower communities in Afghanistan through education, especially for girls, promotes peace through education, and conveys the importance of these activities all around the country. Our mission is to empower Afghans, especially girls and women in the remote regions of Afghanistan by creating educational opportunities and livelihood skills because SSEOA has a firm belief that without educating girls, peace and prosperity is not possible.
SSEOA boasts a team of highly qualified professionals renowned for their discipline, organization, efficiency, and extensive tenure within both national and international organizations. The team is spearheaded by an Executive Body comprising of the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Program Director, Finance Manager, and Program Manager, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. At the helm of strategic governance stands SSEOA's Board of Directors, comprising five distinguished members renowned for their extensive experience working with the government and NGO sector.
Position Summary:
The trainer is responsible for designing, organizing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for Community-Based Education (CBE) and remedial teachers. This role involves not only the facilitation of training sessions but also the continuous support and guidance of teachers to ensure effective implementation of the training content in their classrooms. Additionally, the Trainer is tasked with the regular monitoring and evaluation of CBE classes to assess the effectiveness of teaching methods, identify areas for improvement, and provide ongoing mentorship to teachers. The goal is to enhance the overall quality of education provided to students and ensure that the CBE classes are aligned with educational standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Program Management
Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CBE and ECD programs.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, activities, and resource allocation.
Ensure programs align with organizational goals and comply with national educational standards and policies.
Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor program activities and collect data.
Community Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, parents, Shuras and local stakeholders.
Facilitate community participation in the design, implementation, and monitoring of educational programs.
Conduct regular community meetings to gather feedback and address concerns.
Capacity Building
Train and support local educators and volunteers in CBE and ECD methodologies.
Develop training materials and workshops to enhance teaching skills and educational practices.
Promote continuous professional development for educational staff.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to assess program effectiveness.
Prepare and submit detailed reports on program outcomes and impact.
Resource Development
Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support CBE and ECD initiatives.
Develop project proposals and grant applications.
Manage donor relationships and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
Advocacy and Partnership
Advocate for policies and practices that support community-based education and early child development.
Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote educational equity.
Represent the organization at relevant forums and events.
