Ghazanfar Bank, a full-fledged licensed commercial Bank, commenced its operations in March 2009. The Share Holders of the Bank belongs to one of the leading business groups of Afghanistan. As a leading business house Ghazanfar Group is involved in various key businesses sectors as a front runner such as import and distribution of Petroleum/Gas and other various important industrial sectors. Ghazanfar Bank started its operation in Kabul, Afghanistan, and is offering key financial services both under conventional and Islamic Banking. The Bank has since opened up its Branches at various key locations such as Mazar Sharif, Hairatan, Kunduz, Takhar, Pule- Khumri, Jalalabad, Herat & Kandahar besides opening another eight branches at Kabul in Sarai Shahzada, Shar-e-Naw, Karte Naw, Kote Sangi, Lase Maryam, Karte Char, Kabul International Airport branch and Wazir Akbar Khan. In due course of time, the Bank intends to expand its Branch Network in Kabul as well as at other key locations of the Country.

1. Perform Basic Network Device initial installations, configurations under supervision and approval of Network Administrator and/or IT manager.
2. Monitor and maintain smooth operation and basic configurations of below network devices:

• Wireless Routers
• Switch Configuration
• Cyberoam and Firewall
• Firewall

3. Monitor and maintain below IT Network Services:

• HO Internet, performance, latency and utilization
• HO VPN Connections, its stability and availability.

4. Weekly bandwidth Monitoring of HO Internet connections with graphs.
5. Create and document administrative user to JD related devices under approval of line manager to above mentioned Devices and services.
6. Ensure availability and security measures of above-mentioned Devices.
7. Monitor performance and record incidences, issues with above mentioned devices.
8. Maintain change forms for any changes to above mentioned devices and services.
9. Perform Network Stock and items request purchases.
10. Maintain frequent market analyses and visits for new technologies and improvements.
11. Record network issues in case management system or log sheet.
12. Ensure daily activities are compliant to IT Policies and Procedures.
13. Supervise junior IT staff and ensure quality services and support delivery
14. Review logs of above-mentioned devices and record and report suspicious activities.
15. Maintain and store above mentioned Devices/Services related passwords in complex format and totally confidential and restricted from unauthorized access.
16. Never to perform any major activity without informing and approval of Line Manager and analyzing possible affects and risks.
17. Frequently call or visit departments/branches for monitoring quality of service delivery and solving their issues related to the networks.
18. Being fully aware of Policy and Procedures of IT and make sure it is being followed in daily operation by System section staff.

To attend to any other matter that may not have been mentioned in this document but advised by CIO/ Dy CIO

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent certifications are preferred

Skills :

• Proficient in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network management tools.
•  Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
•  Familiarity with VPNs, VLANs, and basic network security practices.
•  Ability to monitor network performance and ensure network stability.
•  Experience with network security concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
•  Ability to diagnose network issues and implement corrective actions.
•  Good communication skills to interact with team members and users.
