Job Description

Guest Relations & Bookings

  • Manage all guest check-ins and check-outs, including walk-in guests and those from contracted NGOs, government entities, and partner organizations.
  • Oversee and promptly respond to online reservations from platforms such as Booking.com, Airbnb, and others.
  • Ensure a high standard of guest service, handling complaints or special requests with professionalism.
  • Maintain guest records and feedback to continuously improve service quality.

Staff & Operations Management

  • Supervise, train, and coordinate a team of 5 staff members including housekeeping, security, and front desk personnel.
  • Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the guest house on a daily basis.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including facility maintenance, safety, and security protocols.
  • Organize staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.

Financial Management

  • Track daily income and expenditures, maintain financial logs, and control petty cash.
  • Submit accurate and timely monthly financial reports to the central accounting department.
  • Assist in budget planning and cost control to ensure financial sustainability.

Sales & Business Strategy

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase bookings and occupancy rates.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to recommend pricing adjustments and promotions.
  • Build partnerships with local organizations, tour operators, and travel agencies to boost visibility and revenue.

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with guests, staff, and senior management.
  • Regularly update the CEO or Head of Kefayat Group on operational status, guest feedback, and any issues that need attention.
  • Ensure proper documentation and records of bookings, staff schedules, maintenance reports, and complaints.

Other Responsibilities

  • Oversee emergency procedures and ensure staff are trained for fire safety, first aid, and crisis management.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, including guest registration and taxation.
  • Represent the guest house in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

Languages:

  • Required: Fluency in English and Dari (spoken and written).
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Turkish, Urdu, Arabic, Russian, or Turkmen is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel or guesthouse management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with online booking platforms such as Booking.com and Airbnb.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and ability to prepare financial reports.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and organizational skills.

Additional Information

  • The Guest House Manager is required to reside at the guesthouse from Sunday to Thursday.
  • Weekends off (Friday and Saturday), with the flexibility to return home during these days.
  • Meals and accommodation will be provided during weekdays at the guesthouse.
