Job Summary:

To oversee and ensure the successful achievement of project goals in the provincial hospital and health facilities, improving healthcare services and disease prevention.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure project targets and objectives are met in the provincial hospital and health facilities.
• Implement primitive, preventive, and curative health interventions for disease control.
• Guarantee availability and proper management of medicines and medical supplies.
• Monitor staff performance to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
• Prevent medicine expiry and wastage through regular inventory checks.
• Ensure all hospital wards have adequate night-shift staff.
• Work with internal departments (admin, logistics, and finance) and external partners.

• Attend provincial and district coordination meetings.
• Maintain communication with hospital management, health facility staff, and community leaders.
• Strengthen coordination between primary (PHC) and secondary (SHC) healthcare services.

• Provide mentorship and technical support to health facility staff.
• Conduct joint supervision with different health departments (HMIS, EPI, Lab, etc.).
• Ensure accurate data recording and reporting through the Health Information System (HMIS)

• Keep detailed records of all project activities.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports.
• Assist the Project Manager in donor and authority reports.
• Update health facility profiles and inventories twice a year.
• Ensure timely submission of reports from all health facilities.

• Set performance indicators to track progress.
• Analyze data and recommend program improvements.
• Participate in surveys and evaluations.
• Conduct regular field visits, provide feedback, and follow up on actions.

Education:

• MD, Bachelor or Master’s degree in Public Health.

Experience:

• At least 10 years of managing health programs. Experience in Management of health care projects, HMIS, Report writing, Supervision and Monitoring is required.

Other:          

• Committed and honest to work hard, have good communication skills, having analytical skills, leadership skills, team building skills.
• Good command of English, Fluent in Dari and Pashto both verbally and written
• Computing skills (Ms Office: word and excel, internet) is essential
• Team player, capacity builder, flexible in working hours
• Having reporting skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet the deadlines
