Job Summary:

The Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant will be supporting systematic data collation validation and analysis to ensure quality reporting and timely information for accountability, decision making.

Job Responsibilities 

M & E Data Support

• Assist in collation of the project data summaries.
• Ensure data integrity is upheld by doing regular data cleaning and validation.

Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate routine, monthly, quarterly and annual programmatic performance reports. 
• Assist in developing summary reports on key issues emerging from projects monthly reports, evaluation reports, and feedback reports.

Data Management

• Support in identification, documentation, and dissemination of project experiences, lessons learned, and success stories. 
• Assist in preparation of M&E tools and development of data management processes including SOPs. • 
• Assist in strengthening existing M&E systems to ensure generation of timely information and feedback to donors and other project stakeholders.

Key Deliverables:

• Develop relevant MEL tools tailored with project needs.
• Translate MEL tools into local languages as required.
• Accurate and timely data collection and entry for program activities.
• Documented feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders.
• Regular field reports with insights and recommendations.

• Measuring, monitoring and evaluating project activities.
• Perform data collection, data analysis and data interpretation to support project evaluation.
• Ensure consistency in objectives and use output indicators to deliver timely and relevant reports. referenced in accordance with the logical framework of the project, including outcomes, impacts, ongoing challenges.
• Develop operational arrangements to collect, analyze and report on project data.
• Liaise with staff to meet monitoring and evaluation requirements ensuring the achievement of the project objectives;
• Facilitate learning mechanisms in response to monitoring findings.
• Prepare reports for internal circulation regarding program progress and findings.
• Preparing and sharing field visit report regarding activities progress and findings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Economic, Public Administration, Business Administration, International relations or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in MEL or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of data collection tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to gender and cultural norms.
• Ability to travel frequently to Parwan and Herat provinces.
