Job Descriptions:

1. Background

The Renew and Restart project aims to provide women with technical and business skills, soft skills, and marketing expertise. This initiative will support 250 vulnerable women in developing income-generating opportunities and connecting them with market access.

To ensure effective knowledge transfer, NOVE seeks 5 experienced trainers to conduct business development, soft skills, and marketing training sessions. These trainers will play a key role in empowering participants by enhancing their entrepreneurial skills, professional capabilities, and business sustainability.

Objective of the Assignment

The trainers will be responsible for designing and delivering interactive and practical training sessions on business development, soft skills, and marketing. The goal is to equip women entrepreneurs with knowledge and skills to effectively run and sustain their businesses, improve communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, and successfully market their products.

2. Objective of the Assignment

The trainers will be responsible for designing and delivering interactive and practical training sessions on business development, soft skills, and marketing. The goal is to equip women entrepreneurs with knowledge and skills to effectively run and sustain their businesses, improve communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, and successfully market their products.

3. Scope of Work

The trainers will be responsible for the following:

A. Business Development Training

  • Introduce participants to basic business concepts including business planning, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Guide women in creating and structuring business plans for their enterprises.
  • Train on business registration processes, taxation, and legal requirements for small businesses in Afghanistan.
  • Provide knowledge on access to finance, savings, and investment strategies.

B. Soft Skills Development

  • Conduct training on personal development and communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Teach negotiation skills for securing business deals.
  • Develop participants’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Deliver confidence-building and leadership training to enhance their role as business owners.
  • Teach basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online research skills.

C. Marketing and Digital Promotion

  • Train participants on product branding, packaging, and quality control.
  • Teach customer service and engagement strategies.
  • Guide on pricing strategies and market positioning.
  • Provide training on digital marketing tools, including:
    • Social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Business).
    • E-commerce strategies (selling products online).
    • Website creation and management for business promotion.
  • Organize practical exercises on product presentation and selling strategies.

D. Mentorship & Market Linkage

  • Provide one-on-one mentorship sessions to support participants in applying learned skills.
  • Assist in market research and networking strategies.
  • Help participants prepare for exhibitions, trade fairs, and local market sales.
  • Guide on establishing business partnerships and customer relationships.
