Job Purpose:
The Public Relations & Marketing Communication Officer at a service-oriented company, is responsible for managing and enhancing the company’s public image, reputation, and stakeholder relationships. This role involves developing and implementing communication strategies, managing the public, media and government relations, and coordinating marketing communications to promote the company’s brand, services, and values. The Officer will also handle reception duties for walk-in clients, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets. Respond to inquiries, pitch stories, and manage press coverage to promote the company's services.
Press Releases & Articles: Write and distribute press releases, service announcements and articles to generate positive media coverage and inform the public about the company’s offerings.
Content Creation: Develop engaging content for the company’s social media accounts, website, newsletters, and other communication channels to ensure a consistent brand message delivery.
Event Management: Organize and promote events such as service launches, community engagement activities, and promotional campaigns to raise awareness and attract clients.
Crisis Communication: Handle any crisis situations by creating and implementing communication plans to mitigate damage to the company’s reputation.
Client Reception & Interaction: Greet walk-in clients, assist with inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate service personnel. Provide a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment.
Media Monitoring & Reporting: Track media coverage and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns. Report on public perception, media sentiment, and engagement metrics.
Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with internal teams (management, service staff, etc.) to ensure effective communication of company goals, promotions, and initiatives.
