New Consultancy and Relief Organization (NCRO) is serving the needy people, particularly returnees from the neighboring countries and internally displaced persons IDPs due to natural disasters or internal conflicts.  NCRO is a fully voluntary organization, providing assistance in water supply, sanitation, food security, nutrition, protection, shelter, infrastructure, and economic recovery to vulnerable people, irrespective of gender, race, language and location.

Job Description: 

 

The Admin & Finance Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring proper administrative support to project teams. He will ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations in financial and administrative management.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Finance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
  • Prepare vouchers, invoices, and receipts in compliance with financial policies.
  • Process payments, advances, and clearances for staff and vendors.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and budget monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with donor financial guidelines and organizational procedures.
  • Support audits by providing required financial documentation.

Administration:

  • Maintain filing systems for HR, administration, and finance documents.
  • Support recruitment processes (posting vacancies, scheduling interviews, maintaining personnel files).
  • Ensure office supplies, equipment, and services are available and managed efficiently.
  • Manage staff attendance, leave records, and timesheets.
  • Assist in logistics arrangements for trainings, workshops, and official travel.
  • Liaise with service providers, landlords, and suppliers for contracts and agreements.

General:

  • Coordinate with program and support staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare regular administrative and financial reports for the management.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, Excel, or other accounting software is an asset.
  • Good understanding of HR, admin, and office management practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office package).
  • Able to use QuickBooks software for financial report

Languages:

  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto – required.
  • English – preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites if required.
