Background

. The Women Emergency Support -Dignity (WES) project is aimed to support the most vulnerable women headed families in different districts of the Kabul city.

Goal and Objectives

Dignity aims to guarantee the subsistence and dignity of Afghan women and their families in

conditions of absolute poverty.

The specific objectives are:

a) To provide monthly cash assistance able to fulfill the basic needs of the women and

her families, such as food, rent, clothes and medicines. 

b) To give autonomy to women through the implementation of tailored intervention which

can include support to vocational training, livelihood creation, health and psychosocial

support.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational execution of the project, including assessments, beneficiary selection, training sessions, and cash distribution.
     
  • Liaise regularly with the local administrative and programmatic staff in Kabul to ensure alignment with the approved project plan and timeline.
     
  • Interface with HQ staff (both administrative and programmatic) to provide timely data, field updates, and inputs for reports and documentation.
     
  • Coordinate with the M&E Officer to support the collection, analysis, and reporting of data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  • To travel to the locations where the beneficiaries households live in order to meet them and monitor the development of the project.

     
  • Ensure compliance with project guidelines and local regulatory frameworks, with particular attention to the safety and accessibility of staff and beneficiaries.
  • Participating in the monthly cash distributions
     
  • Identify and report operational challenges, proposing solutions and adjustments as needed.
     
  • Support logistics and coordination for infrastructure improvements and equipment delivery to selected BNFs, if required.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly activity reports and documentation required by donors and HQ.
     

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Development, or Project Management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in field project supervision or coordination, ideally in food security or women’s livelihood programs.
  • Familiarity with humanitarian work and the socio-cultural context in Afghanistan.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Dari and/or Pashto; working knowledge of English is essential.
  • Good computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and data collection tools).
