Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

• Coordinate with technical and field teams to ensure timely and quality execution of program activities of Health and GRM.

• Track project progress and ensure adherence to donor targets, timelines, and budgets.

• Identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities to enhance project effectiveness and community impact.

• Ensure program interventions are aligned with national humanitarian priorities, cluster standards, and project work plan.

• Conduct regular field visits to assess progress, verify data, and capture lessons learned.

• Ensure feedback and complaint mechanisms are functional and accessible to beneficiaries.

• Analyze project data to produce evidence-based recommendations for improvement.

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and final project reports (both narrative and quantitative) in line with donor formats.

• Draft situation updates, case studies, and field visit summaries to highlight progress and impact.

• Coordinate with the Provincial team to produce success stories, visibility briefs, and content for donor presentations.

• Ensure that all program data, reports, and visibility materials are properly organized and documented.

• Focus on maternal and neonatal health program implementation based on national guidelines and GRM.

• Ensure the quality implementation of reproductive health program through BPHS Project.

• Oversee that the linkages between community-based health structures for early case identification, referral and management maternal and neonatal health.

• Responsible for support proposed technical health and nutrition theoretical trainings as per training plan in close coordination with head of base, PM and Health & Nutrition Manager.

• Prepare supervision and monitoring plan and conduct visits together with relevant supervisors and provide on the job training for the staff on time to ensure the quality services are in place.

• Follow-up on the action plans of supervision visits prepared by relevant supervisors and share with regional technical team.

• Follow monitoring reports shared by MoPH/ PPHD and prepare and follow-up action plan with relevant team Provincial level.

• To make sure that Rational Use of Drugs (RUD) and Management of Drugs Supply (MDS) are respecting with closed coordination of Pharmacy team.

• Work in collaboration with partners and local authority in the area for quality improvement system in the health and nutrition sector.

• Participation regular external and internal program meetings and provide technical inputs.

• S/he will be responsible for collecting the weekly, biweekly and monthly RH and GRM statistics report, and MIAR report, analysis, cross check and provide feedback to project provincial team align with HMIS.

• S/he will be responsible for the compilation of the reports and other relevant staff for further review and submission.

• Provide supervision and monitoring report and share with relevant department and regional level.

Job Requirements:

• Medical Doctor degree is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in the management of health and nutrition programs for NGOs, received HMIS, nutrition and EPI training as essential.

• Good understanding of BPHS and EPHS projects.

• Good knowledge of MoPH policies.

• Ability to manage a high workload and meet deadlines, demonstrated flexibility and multi-task ability

• Willing to travel to remote areas of intervention.

• Training and capacity-building skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization.

• Good interpersonal skills, motivation for teamwork.

• Excellent speaking and writing skills in English, (significant reporting in English)
