TBS is a private services company officially registered with the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) of Afghanistan. The Admin/ Maintenance Assistant is providing support in various maintenance tasks and administrative duties within our office. The ideal candidate should have experience in basic maintenance work, possess essential skills in electrical equipment, plumbing, and carpentry, and have good communication skills in English as well as the local languages, Pashto and Dari. The Assistant will report to the head of the Admin & Logistics section and perform tasks as assigned.
1. Conduct simple maintenance work in the office, including:
- Installing door locks
- Cleaning filters of air conditioning units
- Repairing and installing electrical equipment, plugs, and sockets
- Performing basic plumbing tasks
- Installing wall brackets for TV and whiteboards
- Handling other similar daily office maintenance work
2. Assist in the regular scheduled service of the backup generator in the office.
3. Aid in the physical movement of office assets on a daily basis.
4. Follow up with facility management services and supervise ongoing maintenance/renovation work in the country office and accommodation.
5. Assist in the preparation, dispatch, and follow-up of work orders with the maintenance company.
6. Support in the preparation of lease agreements for tenants.
7. Check accommodation room inventory regularly.
8. Assist with the movement of goods in and out of the stock.
9. Prepare asset custody forms for the issuance of assets to staff
10. Travel to provinces, on need basis
10. Perform any other official tasks or activities as assigned by the head of the Admin & Logistics section.
