Job Description

Job Summary:
The Back Office Officer is responsible for supporting the daily operational activities of Las Pay, ensuring smooth processing of customer transactions, compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate records. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding the institution's financial integrity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in resolving customer inquiries related to transactions and account activities.
    • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and customer data.
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.
    • Ensure compliance with Afghan financial regulations and AML/CFT policies.
    • Follow security protocols to prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as Customer Service, IT, and Compliance to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Liaise with external partners like banking institutions as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, or related field.
  • Prior experience in back-office operations, preferably within an EMI, bank, or financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of Afghan financial regulations and AML/CFT standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant transaction management software.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive information confidentially.
