The New Consultancy and Relief Organization (NCRO) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1993 and dedicated to serving vulnerable communities across Afghanistan. With over three decades of experience, NCRO has been actively engaged in delivering humanitarian aid, implementing livelihood and development projects, and supporting disaster-affected and food-insecure populations. As a local NGO, NCRO works closely with communities, local authorities, and international partners to promote resilience, self-reliance, and sustainable development through inclusive and needs-based programming.
Conduct regular health and nutrition training sessions for women, mothers, and caregivers at community level.
Provide awareness on:
Maternal, infant, and young child nutrition
Balanced diet and appropriate food consumption
Proper food preparation, storage, and utilization
Personal hygiene and sanitation practices
Support behavior change communication (BCC) activities related to nutrition and health.
Mobilize women’s groups and encourage active participation in training sessions.
Use approved training materials and messages provided by NCRO and WFP.
Coordinate closely with Community Mobilizers, Field Officers, and project staff.
Identify community nutrition concerns and report them to the supervisor.
Participate in coordination meetings, refresher trainings, and monitoring visits.
Follow NCRO policies, safeguarding standards, and WFP requirements at all times.
Minimum high school certificate; diploma or training in health, nutrition, or related field is an advantage.
At least 1–2 years of experience in community health or nutrition-related activities.
Experience working with NGOs or WFP-funded projects is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with women and community members.
Willingness to work in field and rural settings.
Fluency in local language(s); knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto required.
