Organization for Community Coordination and Development (OCCD) established and registered with Ministry of Economy in 2013, is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and independent organization. OCCD works in partnership with Government, development and implementing partners in Health, Education, Agriculture and Livestock, Research and Development

 

Job Descriptions:

A. Safeguarding & PSEAH Systems

  • Implement and maintain safeguarding and PSEA policies, procedures, and SOPs in line with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Conduct safeguarding risk assessments.
  • Integrate safeguarding measures into project, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

B. Prevention & Capacity Building

  • Deliver regular PSEAH and safeguarding training for staff, health workers, volunteers, contractors, and community.
  • Ensure staff and partners understand Codes of Conduct, reporting obligations, and survivor-centered approaches.

C. Complaints & Response Mechanisms

  • Establish and oversee safe, confidential, and accessible complaint and feedback mechanisms for beneficiaries and communities.
  • Receive, document, and manage safeguarding and SEAH complaints in a confidential and survivor-centered manner.
  • Coordinate internal reporting, referrals, and case management in line with organizational policies.
  • Ensure timely referrals to appropriate medical, psychosocial, legal, and protection services while respecting survivor consent.

D. Case Management & Confidentiality

  • Maintain secure and confidential records of safeguarding cases.
  • Support investigations in coordination with senior management and main office safeguarding lead, ensuring due process and confidentiality.
  • Ensure “do no harm” principles are upheld at all times.

E. Coordination & Compliance

  • Act as the focal point for safeguarding and PSEAH with donors, and coordination mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with donor safeguarding requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate with Programs, MEAL, and field teams to ensure safeguarding integration.
 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, social science, sociology, or any relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in safeguarding, GBV, CP, protection, or survivor support
  • Experience in case intake, referrals, and confidential management
  • Skilled in supporting vulnerable individuals, especially women and children
  • Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; good English proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and trust-building skills
  • Understanding of PSEAH principles and survivor-centered approaches
