Job Descriptions:

Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality of the project through regular meetings/visits, technical follow ups and evaluations and reporting.
  •  Ensure preparations and follow up of action plans within the project to assist the project lead in decision making.
  • Oversee the implementation of the activities and make sure that the project is on track.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of program components’ implementation, financial management, personnel, and interface with partners and stakeholders internally.
  • Work closely with project lead, and project staff, local partners staff to assist in program implementation.
  • Support developing robust, well-designed activities approach and deliver their implementation to the highest quality.
  • Oversight of program components, cash flows, and compliance, providing financial analysis on a regular basis with local partners.
  • Assist project lead to ensure project are compliant with donor requirements and the quality standards, including full independent audit compliance and that funder and internal standards are fully met in practice and appearance.
  • Ensure relevant quality assurance processes are completed so that the program is running effectively and on time.
  • Monitor risks and issues developments within the portfolio sub-set, making sure that the project lead is aware and fully briefed of issues requiring major strategic decisions.
  • Assist and supervise monitoring internal processes and procedures, identifying areas of improvement and recommending changes.
  • Monitor data management related to program and funding management, providing analysis to Project lead based on available information.
  • Closely follow up and supervise any violations of the organization Mandatory Reporting Policy. The reporting of violations is an obligation on the part of all staff members.
  • Collect, compile, analyse and provide actual data to project lead and upon reporting intervals.
  • Take the lead on consolidation of the project reports from the project downstream partners and verify its accuracy for the reporting.
  • Supervise and provide on time support for internal process (supply chain, finance, partnership and HR) and ease the process by following routine activities.
  • Make sure that the project lead has access to an organized, well maintained and accessible online source of data for reporting and decision making.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the project lead.

Partner Capacity Building:

  • Follow partners capacity building plan and capacity assessment and deliver on time and quality capacity building training for IPs to make sure project delivery is as expected.
  • The Project Supervisor will work closely with partners to set clear objectives, identify appropriate training methodologies and resources, and establish timelines for capacity building activities.
  • Maintain close coordination with partnership team for partners monitoring and reporting.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduated from relevant Faculty, preferably Education, Science or Literature and or related fields.
  • At least 3-5  years’ experience in a senior officer role or project supervision and management position within relevant field of a NGO or INGOs organization, preferably with education project management experience
  • At least Three years working experience supervising staff working with education-based development projects
  •  Fluency in English, Dari, and Pashto, written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and capacity to deal with different rural communities with varied political/socio-economic and educational background
  • Good supervisory, leadership, analytical and troubleshooting skill
  • Solid knowledge of planning, budgeting and report writing
  •  Familiar with design, evaluation, and monitoring of education projects
  • Computer knowledge at an operational level, IRC uses Ms Office standard software
  •  Ready to work, live and travel in an intricate and strenuous environment

  • Good teamwork and leadership skills are essential to motivate different groups of people to fulfil their responsibilities within a given time frame.
