- Introduction to RSDO
Razi Social Development Organization- RSDO is an Afghan NGO founded in April 11, 2008 and registered with Ministry of Economy in Afghanistan. It was established in Herat city but then sat up sub-offices in Ghor, Badghis and Farah provinces by delivering the social development services to vulnerable and marginalized people in the remote communities.
- RSDO’s Background
RSDO firstly initiated the primary activities in 2002 under the name of “Abu Hanifeh Orphan High School”, assisting orphan children who lost their parents and families during the long-lasting war in Afghanistan to learn and build their future. Later on, with the financial support of Japan Embassy it has constructed a high school building for the orphan and expanded the activities of orphan with the support of HELP Germany as well. Throughout years of hard working, RSDO slowly developed and now has functioning offices in all west zone provinces of Afghanistan with more than 200 staff.
- RSDO’s mandate
RSDO’s mandate is delivering the humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable households in the west zone provinces of Afghanistan through the financial support of UN and International Organizations.
RSDO's Mission
RSDO dedicated all efforts to contribute in none violent, developed and prosperous Afghanistan where both men and women live and respect each other through running services in the sector of women empowerment, education, agriculture, capacity building, and livelihood.
RSDO's Vision:
RSDO’s vision is an Afghanistan without illiteracy. We envision that that all Afghan children (girls and boys have easy access to high quality education that affect their lives and provide them means of development
Job Description
Job Purpose
The provincial Officer will work under the supervision of the Project Manager to whom he/she will report, and this position will contribute to the capacity building, supervision and coordination of the field team, coordination with stakeholders, representation to the meetings, regular daily, weekly and monthly report, team building & supervision to ensure high quality services for children through closely engaging functional. These are supervision role and therefore, priority is given to the candidates with high supervision quality, but priority is given to the respected provinces where the candidates applied for it.
The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Ensure timely and proper coordination with stakeholders at a provincial level and oversee delivery of high-quality program implementation in the field
- Support the organization policy and guide the field teams in their day-to-day work ensuring adherence to key child protection principles through organizing one-on-one and group meetings with the team for way forward
- Support and provide guidance to teams on following the child protection SOPs for their respected scope of work through daily and weekly meetings and follow up. Oversee and ensure timely response to the cases they identified.
- Conduct regular meetings with social workers, case workers and other provincial staff on lessons learned and best practices and provide feedback to the IPS-FCDO Manager as well.
- Ensure updating referral service map monthly in coordination with RSDO referral focal point and follow down the information to the respected teams for directing the cases to other service providers
- Represent the organization at provincial stakeholders' meetings and the humanitarian forum
- Take the lead in coordinating conference meetings with other counterparts
- Compile monthly report on program progress with good English Narrative skills
- Support other delegated tasks from IPS Project manager
- Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to RSDO’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

We have zero tolerance for any behaviors and practices that put children and/or vulnerable adults at risk of abuse and/or harm. Job Requirements
Experience and mandatory criteria:
- University degree in Social Science (Psychology, Theology, Law, Education, literature, and sociology).
- Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in the child protection sector, including technical and team supervision within INGOs or national NGOs.
- Strong knowledge of Case Management and CPIMS – Trainings attended.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Fluent in national languages, Pashto and Dari.
- Excellent computer skills.
