Job Description

  1. Monitoring and Evaluation Framework:
    • Develop and implement an M&E framework and plan for the CFS project, aligned with project goals and donor requirements.
    • Design M&E tools, surveys, and data collection methods to capture relevant indicators and outcomes.
  2. Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Coordinate data collection activities, ensuring timely and accurate capture of project data.
    • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess project performance, trends, and impact.
    • Provide regular reports and updates on project progress to stakeholders, including donor agencies and project partners.
  3. Capacity Building:
    • Build the capacity of project staff and partners in M&E processes and techniques.
    • Support project teams in using M&E findings for decision-making and program improvement.
  4. Quality Assurance and Learning:
    • Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites to verify data quality and compliance with M&E standards.
    • Facilitate learning workshops and sessions to promote a culture of learning and adaptation within the project.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare comprehensive M&E reports, including quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure all M&E documentation is well organized and maintained for audit and accountability purposes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning, preferably in international development or humanitarian projects.
  • Strong proficiency in M&E methodologies, data analysis software and statistical analysis.
  • Experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, including developing indicators, data collection tools, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Ability of writing and understanding Dari, Pashto, and English languages.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in local languages spoken in the project area is an asset.
