The WHRO (Wise Hamrah Reconstruction Organization, which is now renamed as TEDHO) was established on 6th October 2003 under registration number 1629, registered with the Economy Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. TEDHO was reformed with the goal of assisting Afghan society in realizing the same predetermined goals of making Afghanistan a better place for vulnerable men, women, and children in terms of their basic rights and humanitarian services, in collaboration with other credible national and international partners. TEDHO has had a strong track record of providing humanitarian services to Afghanistan, including support for education programs, vocational training, and infrastructure projects. Over the years, TEDHO has made significant contributions towards improving the lives of vulnerable men, women, and children in the country. It remains committed to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable communities in Afghanistan by leveraging its experience and expertise.
Job Description
Field Monitor Job Description:
- Conduct regular monitoring and observation visits to the distribution sites and warehouses.
- Assess the implementation of TEDHO's standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Observe and document the distribution processes, including the setup, crowd management, and beneficiary engagement.
- Verify the accuracy of the beneficiary registration and entitlement data.
- Assess the adequacy of storage conditions, stock management, and inventory control at the warehouses.
- Identify and report any issues related to access, protection, gender, and accountability.
- Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data on the distribution performance.
- Conduct post-distribution monitoring, including beneficiary interviews and feedback collection.
- Provide timely feedback and recommendations to the District Supervisor and project management team.
- Participate in the development and refinement of the monitoring tools and methodologies.
- Facilitate community meetings and discussions to gather feedback and address concerns.
- Provide training and capacity-building support to the distribution and warehouse teams.
- Coordinate with the Help Desk Assistants to address beneficiary-related issues and complaints.
- Represent TEDHO in the field and maintain positive relationships with the local authorities and communities.
- Document the lessons learned, best practices, and challenges encountered during the monitoring activities.
- Contribute to the development of the project's monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework.
- Comply with TEDHO's ethical, data protection, and safety and security protocols.
Job Requirements
- Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field (social sciences, development, or humanitarian studies).
- Demonstrated experience in project monitoring, evaluation, and field-level data collection.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in local languages (Dari/Pashto) is required, with fluency in English preferred.
- Familiarity with humanitarian principles, protection, and accountability to affected populations.
